El evento de Triatlón Mundial ITU de Madrid, cuyo circuito serpentea a través del hermoso Parque Casa de Campo, siempre ofrece un atractivo extra. Este año en particular, la competencia de Madrid fue la última oportunidad para obtener una plaza para los Juegos de Londres 2012, por lo que las estrategias se hicieron más importantes que nunca.

La foto ganadora de esta semana, favorita total, muestra a las damas elite en formación aerodinámica. Con puntos olímpicos en mente, las atletas comenzaron a trabajar. Mientras que la foto provoca serenidad, algunas de estas mujeres sentían la presión de esta carrera.

Veamos qué nos dice de esta imagen Delly Carrr, fotógrafo de la ITU:

“El verde es el color de la naturaleza, de la salud. El verde es un color sumamente relajante, tiene poder de sanación. Aún bajo la presión de la puja deportiva, el hermoso arco de Madrid con su color verde parece ejercer un efecto relajante sobre las atletas.”

Esta semana la segunda foto más votada fue la de Brownlee en la llegada. En este segundo triunfo consecutivo en Campeonatos Mundiales ITU Jonathan se toma un momento para saborear el éxito.
