The FYNSKE BANK Multisport World Championships Fyn have arrived, and from July 5–14, athletes from 45 countries around the globe will compete in no less than five ITU World Championship events, including duathlon, cross triathlon, aquathlon, aquabike and the flagship long-distance triathlon.

The honourable Antonio Arimany, International Triathlon Union Secretary General, officially opened the Multisport Festival at the commemorative Parade of Nations in the heart of Odense, where Jane Jegind, Odense Mayor of Sports, Culture and Urban Development and Vice President of Sport Event Fyn also welcomed the world to the Danish city during the ceremony.

The Parade of Nations got underway with a traditional celebration featuring the famous Odense-born Hans Christian Anderson character, as the athletes then made their way from the iconic Odense City Hall, marching proudly through the streets to King’s Garden.

The Parade of Nations once again showcased the strong team spirit displayed by the global multi-sport community, and the athletes were warmly welcomed by the supportive Danish community who lined the quaint streets to cheer them on.

The Duathlon race will begin the festival’s event schedule on Friday, July 6.

Duathlon (Run | Bike | Run) on Friday, July 6, Paraduathlon on Sunday, July 8
Cross Triathlon (Swim | Mountain Bike | Trail Run) on Tuesday, July 10
Aquathlon (Swim | Run) on Thursday, July 12
Aquabike (Swim | Bike) on Saturday, July 13
Long Distance Triathlon (Swim | Bike | Run) on Saturday, July 13

Each event is made up of various categories including Elite, U23, Junior, Paratriathlon, Age Group as well as an Open Wave.
