The host country of the succesful 2004 Olympic Games will welcome again the Triathlon family in Alexandroupouli on the weekend. The Youth and the Junior competitions are held together the first time in the last few years give the opportunity the National Federations to participate with many athletes.
Teams from 29 countries arrived in the last few days and started to get familiar with the course, the mediterranean sea and the local culture.
The program started with the official on-course training in the morning and will continoue with the athletes briefing, the opening ceremony and the pasta-party.
On Saturday afternoon the junior individual races will be held on sprint distance. There is a large field both for the junior men and women.
The Sunday will be the day of the team-relays, starting with the youth and following the juniors.
