The capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, hosted the 32th Congress of the Asian Triathlon Confederation (AST) on Monday, June 3. With 34 member National Federations attending either personally or virtually, the Congress was chaired by HH Prince Fahad Bin Jalawi, and attended by the President of World Triathlon and Member of the IOC, Marisol Casado.

During his speech and report to Congress
, the AST President reaffirmed his dedication to the development of Triathlon across Asia and appealed all members to collectively joint efforts towards increasing the number of events in Asia, but also enhancing their quality, ensuring that each athlete and participant experiences the true essence of triathlon.

A guest of honor at the Congress, Madam Marisol Casado, praised AST and its President for the improvements in such a short period of time and committed continuous support from World Triathlon to all the activities in Asia.

During the Congress, all AST Committees and Commissions had the opportunity to present detailed updates to the members and the 2024/2025 roadmap was validated, along with the Development plan with the Youth and Junior Development Camp for more than 70 athletes to be organised in Malaysia in July 2024, funded by the Olympic Council of Asia.

On June 2, HH Prince Fahad Bin Jalawi chaired the Asian Triathlon Federation Executive Board meeting in Riyadh, with the presence of Marisol Casado and members of the Executive Board.

During the meeting, the President and the EB Members discussed the overall progress of the Asian Triathlon Movement, including the AST strategy, Administration Report, Financial Status, Development Program plan and Committees reports.
