Sport Development Courses & Camp
ITU’s Sport Development team have unveiled details for two Competitive Coaching courses in Europe and Asia and a Junior Select camp in Europe later this year. Prospective participants must be nominated by their National Federations.
BG-ITU Europe Junior Select Camp - September 13 to 19, 2008
Tiszaújváros, Hungary
A maximum of 16 athletes aged between 15 and 17 years old will be selected to participate in the camp led by Libby Burrell, Director of ITU Sport Development and former USA High Performance Director and South African Olympic Triathlon Coach. The camp’s objective is to work with athletes and coaches selected from developing and emerging nations within Europe. It aims to advance their skills and develop long-term training plans while taking their training and racing skills and techniques to the next level.

ITU Accredited Competitive Coaching Course (Level 1) for Europe - October 3 to 7, 2008
Medulin, Croatia
Among the world class teaching staff, Sérgio Santos and António Jourdan of Portugal, who together form the personal coaching team for world champion Vanessa Fernandes, will lead this course. ITU, in conjunction with ETU Sport Development Committee, will select a maximum of 20 coaches from the applications received from developing and emerging National Federations in Europe.

ITU Accredited Competitive Coaching Course (Level 1) for Asia - October 13 to 17, 2008
Singapore
ITU, in conjunction with Asian Sport Development Coordinator, will select a maximum of 20 coaches from the applications received from developing and emerging National Federations in Asia. An internationally recognized teaching staff for the course will include, among others, Craig Redman from Australia and Bobby McGee of the U.S., both expert coaches.
