Success for technical officials in Dominican Republic

A Technical Official and Event Organiser Level 1 Course was held between April 13 and 15 in Santo Domingo, with the aim of improving technically the human resources of the NFs of the region.

The course was held at the Auditórium Centro Cultural Mauricio Báez, Santo Domingo, and a total of 35 participants from Guatemala, Venezuela, Jamaica, Barbados, Peru and Dominican Republic attended it, thanks to the support and management of the Dominican Federation of Triathlon. The facilitator Felix Molina (MEX) felt pleased to have been invited to the country in this, his first visit. He warmly welcomed the opportunity to contribute with his experience, to the federation and its sports developement activities.

This event of PATCO sports developement focused on enlarging the knowledge of the ITU Competition Rules for international events.

The agenda consisted of a one-day theory session, and the learning was put into practice in the course of a national event held on 15th April on Playa Juan Dolio.

Dr Mario Rodriguez, President of PATCO, turned up during the course and expressed his pleasure and atisfaction for the enthusiasm and dedication shown by participants, organisers and facilitator; and urged the federation to carry on developing the human resources so as to guarantee the success of its sports activities.

The Dominican Federation of Triathlon gave recognition to Dr Rodriguez for his strong commitment and valuable contribution to sports at regional level.
