2020 World Triathlon Tri Giving Holiday Campaign - competition and prize
In the spirit of the holiday season, we are giving back to the World Triathlon community! Share your acts of #TriGiving to WIN the ultimate triathlon getaway to the 2021 World Triathlon Championship Finals Edmonton (1 person will WIN* a return flight to the host destination and 4 nights of accommodation at the host hotel). World Triathlon will present a different theme for Tri Giving, each day, commencing Thursday 17 December and running through until Thursday 24 December 2020. Entrants have until January 2, 2021, to post content on their channels, tagging @worldtriathlon and #TriGiving, to be in the draw to win the grand prize.

PROMOTION DESCRIPTION

The World Triathlon Tri Giving Holiday Campaign begins on social media on Thursday, 17th December 2020 and ends on Saturday, 2 January 2021 (inclusive).

The sponsor of this competition is World Triathlon Travel Partner: Nirvana Europe: Event travel, accommodation and logistics. By participating in the competition each entrant unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these official rules and the decisions of the sponsor, which shall be final and binding in all respects. This contest is not sponsored in any way by Instagram, Twitter or Facebook (or any other social media).

PRIZE

Over a 7 days period on the dates of 17/12/2020 - 24/12/2020 World Triathlon will run daily social media content, encouraging followers to post their acts of Tri Giving to stand the chance of winning a trip to the 2021 World Triathlon Championships Finals Edmonton.
One person will win a return flight (economy class) to the host destination and 4 nights of accommodation at the host hotel (race entry not included). All bookings will be made by the World Triathlon Travel Partner: Nirvana Europe: Event travel, accommodation and logistics.

Only one prize winner will be awarded. Prizes cannot be transferred, redeemed for cash or substituted by the winner. The sponsor makes no representation or warranty concerning the appearance, safety or performance of any prize awarded. Restrictions, conditions, and limitations may apply. Sponsor will not replace any lost or stolen prize items.

World Triathlon shall not be held liable in any event that the prize winner decides to alter to make alterations of any kind to the flight ticket e.g change of departure and arrival dates. The prize winner can alter these dates but at their own cost.

In a case where for any reason the 2021 World Triathlon Championship Finals Edmonton is cancelled, this prize is null and void and cannot be transferred to another event. The prize will also not be reimbursed in any monetary form.

In a case where the event is postponed to another date within the same calendar year of 2021, World Triathlon will cover the costs of the flight however if the postponement is for a new calendar date in 2022 the ticket is null and void.
 
HOW TO ENTER

Enter the competition online on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram by following the official account of World Triathlon @worldtriathlon. Automated or robotic entries submitted by individuals or organisations will be disqualified.

Stories must be shared on social media and @worldtriathlon and #TriGiving must be tagged to be eligible to win the prize.

Post content on entrant’s grid/story/page, mention @worldtriathlon and #TriGiving (each post is a separate entry and there is no limit on entries).

Entrants are encouraged to tag a friend in the Instagram comments field and use the hashtag #TriGiving.

WINNER SELECTION

The winner will be randomly selected and contacted after January 2, 2021 (CET).

The winner selection will be filmed through a random selection at the end of the campaign.

The sponsor is not responsible for any delay or failure to receive notification for any reason, including inactive email account(s), technical difficulties associated therewith, or Winner’s failure to adequately monitor any email account.

PRIVACY

You consent to supply your personal information to World Triathlon for the purpose of the performance of the World Triathlon Prize Pack.

All your personal information is subject to the World Triathlon’s Privacy Policy, in accordance with the relevant data protection regulation. You can withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of the processing based on your prior consent. By withdrawing your consent, you are aware that you will not be able to take part anymore of the World Triathlon Tri Giving Holiday Campaign.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

World Triathlon assumes no responsibility or liability for (a) any incorrect or inaccurate entry information, or for any faulty or failed electronic data transmissions; (b) any unauthorised access to, or theft, destruction or alteration of entries at any point in the operation of this competition; (c) any technical malfunction, failure, error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or communications line failure, regardless of cause, with regard to any equipment, systems, networks, lines, satellites, servers, camera, computers or providers utilised in any aspect of the operation of the competition; (d) inaccessibility or unavailability of any network or wireless service, the Internet or website or any combination thereof; (e) suspended or discontinued Internet, wireless or landline phone service; or (f) any injury or damage to participant’s or to any other person’s computer or mobile device which may be related to or resulting from any attempt to participate in the competition or download of any materials in the competition.

If, for any reason, the competition is not capable of running as planned for reasons which may include without limitation, infection by computer virus, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which may corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition in whole or in part. In such an event, the sponsor shall immediately suspend all drawings and prize awards, and the sponsor reserves the right to award any remaining prizes in a manner deemed fair and equitable by the sponsor. The sponsor shall not have any further liability to any participant in connection with the competition.
